In British English:
Present Perfect, geçmişte başlayıp etkisi hala devam eden eylemler için kullanılır.
I've broken my leg. It hurts very much. Can you help me call the doctor? ( 3. halinin kullanıldığına dikkat edin!. )
In American English :
I broke my leg. Can you help me call the doctor?( 2. halinin kullanıldığına dikkat edin!. )
“already, just and yet” Kullanımları :
British English:
I've just finished my lunch
We've already seen that film
Have you finished your lunch yet?
American English: (Yukarıdaki zarflar, genelde fiilin 2. halleri ile kullanılır )
I just finished my lunch OR I've just had lunch (“ have “ kullanılmadığına dikkat edin!)
We've already seen that film OR We already saw that film.
Have your finished your lunch yet? OR Did you finish your lunch yet?
Lesson 2
In British English ;
Saatlerde geçe- kala kullanımında past / to vardır :
e.g.
- 4:15 - fifteen minutes past four OR a quarter past four
- 1.50_ It is ten to two.
In American English :
Past ( geçe ) yerine bazen “ after “ da kullanılır :
4:15 – fifteen after four.
To ( kala ) yerine “before,till “de kullanılır
4:50 – ten before(-till) five
