Daha önce 2 ders halinde çalıştığımız R.Speech’de şimdi MODAL / Y.Fiillerin aktarımını çalışacağız. Söylenen cümleyi başkasına aktarırken ( report ) nasıl değiştine dikkat ediniz ;

 

Direct Speech ;                                                                                          Reported Speech;

She said “ I will visit you this evening.”                             She said that she would visit me that evening.

She said “ I must try again.”                                                 She said she had to  try again.

She said “ I can speak English.”                                           She said she could speak English.

She said “ You should study harder.”                                 She said I should  study harder.

She said “ Where shall I go ? “                                             She asked where she should go.

She said “ She had better stay tonight.”                            She said she had better stay that night.

She said “ She needn’t know where he was going.          She said she didn’t need to know where…..

She said “ I may be late. “                                                     She said she might be late.

Apologise for  / Özür dileme .   D; “ I ‘m sorry I broke it. “      R ; He apologised for breaking the glasses.

Boast about / Övünme, böbürlenme.  D; “ I play chess better than you. “   R; She boasted about playing better than me.

Deny / İnkar etme.   D; “ I didn’t break the glass.”     R ; He denied breaking the glass.

Suggest / Önerme.    D; “ Let’s watch a movie”    R ; He suggested watching a movie.”

Complain about / şikayet etme.   D; “ You always come late.”      R ; He complained to me about my always coming late.

Encourage / cesaretlendirme .   D; “ Come on, speak”      R ; he encouraged me to speak.

Explain / açıklama.    D; “ I will finish the experiment in two months.”     R ; He explained to us he would finish the experiment in two months.

Diyalog Aktarma / Reporting a dialogue

D; “ I was glad to hear you  have come in the first place in the competition. I hope you feel happy now.”  He said.

R ; He said he was glad to hear I had come in the first place and added he hoped I felt happy .
